Tweens and Teens Deserve Specialized Care

I understand that children have their own unique inner worlds—and their own ways of experiencing and expressing challenges. My approach to therapy is centered on meeting young people where they are, creating a space where they feel safe, understood, and supported.

I created ReWoven to be a space for teens to explore the different parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion through the use of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Through this process, they can build emotional awareness, resilience, and a stronger sense of confidence in who they are. When appropriate, I also incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to gently support the processing of distressing experiences. Using bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—EMDR helps the brain reprocess stuck memories, which can reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and help young people feel safer and more grounded in their daily lives.

Parents, caregivers and family are also an important part of a child’s life and will be incorporated into the therapeutic process as appropriate either alongside the child or through separate parent sessions to provide support to the entire family unit.

Whether a child or teen is navigating anxiety, trauma, big emotions, or relationship challenges, IFS and EMDR offer a supportive and effective path toward healing and growth. Every young person deserves care that honors who they are, and I’m here to support them in that process.

Children don’t always have the words to explain what they’re going through—but their behavior often tells a story.

Therapy can help them make sense of their feelings, build coping skills, and feel more confident in themselves and their relationships.
